Metro bus caught on fire: Investigators to determine cause of incident

Police in Atlanta say a Metro bus is caught on firefighters’ line of fire in Atlanta.

The incident occurred Sunday morning near the intersection of Interstate 75 and Interstate 10 near the corner of West Georgia Avenue and South Fulton Street, police said in a news release.

An officer was attempting to negotiate the bus when he was struck by a flash from a flash bang grenade, police wrote in the release.

The officer, who was treated and released, sustained minor injuries.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
